To think if you can't take your kid to nursery because they've been sick, you don't then take them to a playgroup instead?

YANBU!!

Seven hours is a really short incubation period and unlikely to be anything picked up from that child.

As for bringing them to playgroup, depends on what they had. Our crèche excludes for 48 hours for vomiting regardless of reason - so coughing too much (asthmatic child, not contagious) would be a 48 hour exclusion.

Yanbu. Some people are idiots who don't think. I know someone who was going to do the same and I called them out on it. Thankfully they acknowledged what I said and didn't.

Oh it pisses me off because I am emetophobic but also immune suppressed.

A mum who's twins go to the same hobby as my kids had one twin doing the hobby and the other one sitting down on iPad because she had been throwing up. I mean wtf ??!!

I was at a soft play the other day when a little girl came up to me and said 'I just woke up in the night and was sick! But I feel better now!

Gave that mum daggers on the way out lol

Depends what it is. For vomiting bug YANBU.

My son was continuously banned from nursery for suspected diarrhoea. No he just never did a formed poo until nearly 3. And depending what you fed him and if he had missed a day of pooing then you could get multiple loose poos in a day! We get notified of every poo on an app. Three strikes and you’re out. Regularly I would get a notification of poo 2 and spend the remaining hours begging the poo gods to not let him poo until he got home 😂

After a while I got wise and made sure to ban fruit and fruit juices for the before until second to last day he went to nursery. That helped quite a bit.

Also been banned for conjunctivitis. Not allowed back until GP prescribed treatment. But they don’t like to treat toddlers. So loggerheads. 🤷‍♀️

Well yeah you would think so, but a lot of people lack common sense. Hope your child is better soon
