AIBU to be worried about this indent in my child’s forehead?

I only noticed it a couple of weeks ago but thought it was just the vein/a shadow. I’ve checked tonight and there’s what feels like an indent in the skull.

DD says she’s always had it, but I’ve never ever noticed it and she’s nearly 12. To me, it new.

She has had a range of other health issues in the past, so I suppose I’m more on edge with things like this. I will ask the GP asap, but just wondered if this is something I should be worried about or if I’m overreacting (which I’m very good at!)

thank you.

My friend's daughter has linear scleroderma, which is an autoimmune disorder. There is a form of that called en coup de sabre which can manifest like this on the forehead

Thank you @TheFutureFreaksMeOut - I will look into that.

Sorry to bump this… but I’m really worrying and could really do with some advice/support.

Personally I think it's just her skull. Our skulls have all sorts of lumps, bumps and indentations. I've got an indentation in the same place as your dd.

I also have an indent running down my forehead, slightly off centre. As far as I know, I've always had it. It's only slightly visible when I'm skinny - has she lost some of her baby face lately? Hoping you get some factual answers. 💐

I also have this and have never thought anything of it, I can feel the indent in my skull - it's just my skull 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm 32.

I have the same thing, I'm 40. Ive never noticed it before as I haven't looked for it but I felt my head on seeing your post and there it is 😊 I hope that helps to reassure. I get very anxious over things too so you have my full sympathy x

Me too, got one exactly the same. Stop worrying!
