School playground

I suffer terribly with social anxiety and don’t talk to anyone at school as I struggle to hold a conversation with people I don’t know. Today I tried to put a blanket on my youngest daughter and she started crying as she didn’t want it on, so I took it off straight away. But two mums who were watching me rolled their eyes at me. It’s stupid but it upset me, I feel I don’t deserve to be judged for something so simple. I’m not part of the playground friendship groups and never will be, but I thought keeping to myself they’d at least not feel the need to judge me.

Do you like reading? The Courage to Be Disliked is a very good book that might help you see things in a different way and makes things easier for you.

Please don't let it get you down. Silly, judgemental people shouldn't affect your mood. The problem is them, not you.

Always remember that life always works for Other People. Other People live Other Lives. Today, you were living your life.

Perhaps they were saying “ @Brady132 managed that well. My kid would have screamed the house down “.

You're going to get a lot of eye-rolling before DC are adults. We all experience it. You can't control the behaviour of others, only your reaction. Don't take it personally. Their actions say far more about them (they're judgemental dickheads), than it does about you.

Please carry on being the best parent you can be. That's all any of us can ask.

Are you 100% sure they were rolling their eyes at you? Seems a daft reason to. Maybe they were talking about something completely unrelated and that's why they rolled their eyes?
