All yesterday afternoon was spent with me in bed or with my head down the loo with a horrible sickness bug.

I went to bed about four pm (obvioulsy still had to get up in the night with baby). I've come down this morning and literally the place looks like its been burgled. In between bouts of vomiting yesterday, all I could hear was DP telling the children off for one reason or another. Now I know they can be annoying but he told me later on that he needed to do some work. I told him that it was pretty pointless trying to do somethingby that you may need privacy for when they are around.

I now have to spend the day with my stomach feeling like its been scopped out and cleaning up a shit hole.

Don't clean it up!

VinegarTits · 12/05/2008 11:29

Not BU at all, but he is a man afterall, most of them cannot cope with just looking after the dc let alone having to clean up as well.

did you tell him to clear up? If you didn't, he won't. You shouldn't asume they will do things - they need to be led

My friend asked her DH to put DD in the car seat to go out in the middle of winter and he didn't put a coat on her "because you didn't tell me to put on a coat on"...

DiscoDizzy · 12/05/2008 11:34

I've learnt from experience that DH does not know what needs tidying up, even if its staring him in the face. I know this from when we have 'lets have a good tidy up' and I start busying myself while he hovers about looking like a lost lamb. Now I either give him a written list or if we're together I have to ask him to do things.

The worst thing of all is that dd (2) who is potty training had an accident and he left the extremely offensive dirty skirt on the floor by the washing machine.

For Christ sake - just put it in you don't even have to turn it on just get it off the bloody kitchen floor!
