Hi All, ive just had a gas bill through for December 2024 £2861, and January £2689, thats for a three bed end terrace, GCH and hot water only bill, I am a single father with three dependants aged 13 (girl) twins of 17 (girls) and a 20 year old son who has apserges and severe social anxiety. I am a full time carer for my son, parent, and self employed working part time. I became a single parent from last August 2024 when my wife was arrested and is now serving time (marriage now ended for definite) I include this info so you can see ive had my hands full and could do without any nonsense from suppliers.. The crazy amounts started following fitting a new smart meter, the bill went through the roof. Also, it seems the gas meter is down as a commercial gas meter whereas it shouldnt be so, I only use my home for paperwork not exactly running a commercial business from it. I am ringing Ofgem tomorrow as well as citizens advice, I really need the meters checked independantly, I dont trust these energy giants any longer.. anyone else had a shock of this type. Brian x
