I've been up since 3.30am and am due to start work at 8am.
I know if I go, I will do a crap job because im so tierd then come home and be extremely bad tempered (putting it politely) before alienating everyone and crashing out.

I'm all for sickies
Why have you been up so long?

lilacclaire · 12/05/2008 07:09

Now im going to sound as if I really am moaning!
DP is a very restless sleeper, I have been woken up roughly 5 times before I couldn't get back to sleep because I was so peeed off at him.
It also took me a good hour and a half to get to sleep due to his snorting, grunting and tossing and turning!

Oh I have one of those too - it's infuriating isn't it??! Mine snores like an alarm clock. Can you sleep in a spare room tonight to catch up?

I'm PG and restless at the mo and I know that the more I try and be still, the more I need to move, so it may not be helpful to tell him?? Snoring strips for his nose!!

i bet loads of people would be off today TBH. May look suspicious but aslong as you aint going out i think it will be fine!

lilacclaire · 12/05/2008 07:34

I never take time off sick, this is the first in a year, so don't think it will look too suss.
I won't be going out, Im going to get a couple of hours sleep then will collect ds early from chilminder and do some housework.

Thankyouandgoodnight, its not so much the snoring as the tossing and turning, I woke up to see his elbow above my face and if i hadn't moved am sure would have been clonked!

I think im going to suggest we take it in turns to sleep of the couch from now on, he usually stays up much later than me, so it would prob be him most of the time anyway, he likes a wee snooze on the couch, so don't think it would be too much of a hardship.

Oooh I wouldn't collect DS early - I would leave him be and have a lovely day to yourself!!

Would one of those long maternity pillows shoved between the two of you help to keep him at bay??
