For collagen. I have no idea where else I'd put this (looked through all the topics).

I'm veggie but willing to try marine collagen if it's a game changer skin/hair/gut/joints wise. The HRT is not really cutting it any more.

TIA.

I was recommended Absolute Collagen before my wedding last years. I'm too thick to notice if its making any difference and too scared to stop in case it's all that's holding me together anymore hahaha

It's not a game changer. Collagen goes through digestive system and is broken down into amino-acids. It doesn't enter the bloodstream as collagen. Furthermore, once it is in the bloodstream, your body prioritises vital organs. There is no mechanism by which it will go to the skin, nails etc selectively. You can achieve roughly the same result if you eat a protein-rich diet (or supplement with whey shakes) and up your vitamin C which supports collagen production.

Ty. It's hard to get plenty of protein in a veggie diet (low carb, too)

Eggs, quark, cottage cheese, Greek yoghurt, tofu, tempeh, soya milk, regular milk...
