To be annoyed at an accusation of bigotry?

"So to be clear, in your view trans men are women? Stop beating around the bush, just be honest with your bigotry."

This was in a discussion about pregnancy and in reply to my comment opposing the phrase "pregnant people" on the basis that only women can be pregnant.

What really pisses me off is being accused of being a "bigot". I mean obviously men can't get pregnant, because they're male. And a pregnant woman calling herself a man, or male, doesn't make her so. That's not bigotry it's just facts!

The incredibly feminist position that women somehow don't count as people is always such a fruitful thing to argue about, well done sister! 💪

The reply is “an accusation of bigotry from someone who has abandoned reality doesn’t carry much weight, now does it?”

That's even more nonsensical than the bigot accusation.

People are mammals but you wouldn't talk about "pregnant mammals" when the topic is pregnant women would you.

You are right but the world has gone mad. They even offer smear tests to men now. There's an NHS leaflet about it

I think they offer them to people who were born women.

But I was agreeing with you! I, too, find it both incredibly offensive and incredibly confusing when women are considered to be included in 'people'. Keep fighting the good fight, it's so important!

Couldn’t care less if a transnutter calls me a bigot for stating scientific facts.

Could you not have put the subject in the title?
