Reapply I think.

purpleme12 · 04/03/2025 18:59

Did you not ask on the phone?

LakieLady · 04/03/2025 19:00

I'm afraid you'll have to reapply.

This is why I advise clients to send PIP and DLA forms by recorded delivery.

Threecraws · 04/03/2025 19:02

I would try to phone again as sometimes you get different answers but if they still say they haven't received it all then to log that you had sent it and for them to send me forms. Ask what date it would be back dated to.

Pigeonqueen · 04/03/2025 19:11

You have no choice but to reapply. Always send via special or recorded delivery.

PicaK · 04/03/2025 19:12

How did you apply? Online? By post?

ValentinesGranny · 04/03/2025 19:12

I know they have freepost envelopes but always send everything recorded delivery.

Threecraws · 04/03/2025 19:13

When you redo the forms, take a copy before sending back.

PicaK · 04/03/2025 19:14

It might be a blessing because if you didn't do some of the basics - keep a photocopy and send registered post there be other things you've missed out on too.
Did you have any help with it eg from the CAB or a local group or from fb groups?
If not then you have the opportunity to get input before you send it in again.

Miley1967 · 04/03/2025 19:17

There are huge backlogs with DLA due to the enormous amounts of claims they are receiving so I guess there could be a possibility that it is still sitting waiting to be scanned onto their system. I guess they would have told you if this was a possibility. The only way to know if it had been received is if you had sent it tracked delivery. I send huge amounts of benefit forms in the post through my work and to be fair to the postal system they rarely go missing. Did you keep a copy, if so I would submit it again.

TinyMouseTheatre · 04/03/2025 19:20

Not DLA but o had something similar recently with AA for a relative.

I phoned and they said they they hadn't received it, I queried this and the very next day we had notification that it had been approved. I think it had been sat on someone's desk.

I'd call them again before reapplying.
