AIBU to throw away damaged parts of DM's old collection?

I have some of my DM's collection of figures - some she collected travelling, others were gifts, they are of sentimental value for me. But in having kids many have been knocked down and are missing parts, so don't now stand up and just look messy and broken. (I have repaired them so many times it's not worth it anymore).

We have a complicated relationship so it's something I really treasure in a way as a good thing from her.

WIBU to throw away the figures that are damaged? I feel bad doing it but I also feel that there's no point just having broken figures displayed with the good ones.

Why not take photos of them so that you can remember them, but throw them away and keep the intact ones safe on display.

Pack the damaged ones- I doubt they take much space once packed- and display the nice ones.

Then when you are comfortable with it, bin them.

I assume you know they are of no financial value? I would put any special, valuable ones somewhere safer. If I were your DM I’d be more upset they were getting damaged.

But I have a complicated relationship with mine too, so I get it.
