I realise that domestic abuse can happen in any relationship, and I do believe that TW should be able to access support

But, I'm really pleased that TW, even with a GRC, will not be allowed into group support sessions or refuge accommodation

Edinburgh domestic abuse charity bars trans women from using its services

Edinburgh Women's Aid has announced it will no longer allow trans women and non-binary people to access its services - or hire trans people.

It’s insane that they weren’t doing this

hopefully others will follow now the spell has been broken

I note that the comments on the story are all "why are they doing this? There's no good reason to exclude trans people" and getting confused thinking trans men are excluded, which they aren't, because they are women.

Stories like this give me great encouragement that the tide is turning

I feel people are increasingly confident to speak out about their concerns

"be kind" is well and good, but I think we're at an "emperor's new clothes" moment

I’m not clicking on a Pink News link, but the comments were always likely to be anti women

It is Pink news
Their readers would have a large portion of "No Debate TWAW" to violent male rapists being placed in Womens Prison.
They would not even think about saying TMAW because it shows a flaw in the logic.

Anyway in before the move to the naughty step

Bloody insane that it was even a question in the first place.

Women and women with dysphoria (trans identifying women) should be welcome.

Anyone who has a problem with that can open a male only service.
