My FIL has just come back from holiday in America where has has brought home some Disney Cars clothes (top marks as ds LOVES them) but only one set of pyjammas will fit him.
The rest are either far too small or will fit him when he is 4 or 5(he is 3 in a few weeks)!!!!
I don't mean to sound ungrateful but i wish he would just buy one thing that fits rather than a whole suitcase that doesn't.
He does the same thing every year!!!!

TBH you do sound ungrateful. What is wrong with putting the big ones away for later? He tried his best and got a mixture of sizes.

misdee · 11/05/2008 19:31

YABU

nobody gets dd2 clothe sizes right.

nobodysfool · 11/05/2008 19:33

He even asked what size he is wearing before he went on holiday.
He spends so much money on them its a shame they wont be worn.

How is he meant to know? Unless he is buying clothes for your son on a regular basis, there's no way he can know.

YABU.

VanillaPumpkin · 11/05/2008 19:35

Sorry YABU, and you are sounding ungrateful.....

dinny · 11/05/2008 19:36

and they will be worn soon anyway, if they are too big now!

louloulouise · 11/05/2008 19:38

If he asked what size your DS wears before they went away then YANBU, people shouldn't ask if they've no intention of actually listening!

nobodysfool · 11/05/2008 19:50

As is said, he asked what size clothes he wore before he went.
It's such a waste of money having a bundle of clothes that are too small.

VanillaPumpkin · 11/05/2008 19:51

But it is a waste of his money and I bet he enjoyed choosing and buying them.....

DoubleBluff · 11/05/2008 19:54

My Dh wouldn't know what size clothes to buy DS's let alone my FIL. YABU

kerryk · 11/05/2008 19:54

my aunt always buys bigger sizes when she is away thinking that its better to put them away for a few years than never get worn at all.

she did totally get it wrong one year though and bought dd a top when she was 2, 4 years later it still drowns her

nobodysfool · 11/05/2008 19:54

That's true as long as he doesn't expect me to squueze ds into 12 mth old clothes.

NotABanana · 11/05/2008 19:54

American sizes are probably labelled differently to ours.

princessmel · 11/05/2008 19:55
