Race for Life

Thinking about doing race for life this year as it's a great cause and love the idea.

Have not done it before, would be doing the 10km. Saw a clip online of big groups of people walking. Anyone that's done it before, is this what people tend to do?

I've not done race for life but I did a race for Age UK. Yes, it's fine to walk and loads of people will be doing it.

Do you run at the moment? Most race for life events will have walkers at all distances. 6.2 miles is a fair distance, so start your run training now if you don't already run

Did the 10k last year and there were a lot of people walking the course. They asked the general regular runner types to go off first and then everyone else.
When we were coming round for the second 5k lap there were a lot of groups doing it as a walk. At the end of the day it’s a fun run/walk for a great case so just do it at your own pace. If you run regularly it’s a nice run with a lot of support and a fun atmosphere.
I am going again this year after doing the 5k and pretty muddy over the last few years.
