Sadly seen the Danny/Maura incident. Really feel for his wife as I’ve been there. Dh confessed to me he had had a drunken snog at his works Xmas do. Very humiliating. I would have probably divorced him if we didn’t have kids. It was really painful given it was “only” a kiss. I remember just thinking how dare you. We all go out with friends and speak to members of the opposite sex who want to try it on. But there’s something called self restraint.

They were both married with dc.
I once commented to another colleague and was told it was just harmless fun.

Don't know if their partners ever knew or suspected. Everyone at work knew.

At first it seems like just a peck but then they're leaning into eachother and kissing

It's the kiss but also the disrespect that would really hurt me.

A kiss doesn't come out of nowhere, there's normally already a lot of flirting (ie infidelity) in the build up to a kiss

"Just a kiss" is bollocks. It dismisses everything that led up to that

But he did have to work hard thiugh didn’t he - the whole family man thing he pushed it rather than it being natural - Barry McGuigan for example didn’t work at or push the mantra of being a family man he just came across as one.

because for me underneath it he came across as a selfish man who abandoned his wife to do the jungle having said he would be with her for the move. He comes across as very self centred

And if I were his wife I might well be relieved this coild give me an out from being with him that didn’t paint me as the bad guy (which he would have done IMO)

All depends how well off he was. I could forgive if he was a millionaire I think.

A drunken kiss in my experience usually means they're up to a lot more.

How ironic that he hasn't spoken to his df for decades because his df left his dm for an ow.

Yes he did work at it didn't he. The whole bit when the family and friends sneaked in to see them and Danny met up with his wife and son was absolutely nauseating with him crying his crocodile tears about missing them. Should have guessed then.

And you're right mentioning Barry as he came across as completely lovely and genuine in comparison.

the first headline (DM) said drunken kiss, then the article said peck on the cheek so I thought it was just clickbait, but then unfortunately The Scum has a video of it. I did watch it as you can't make an informed opinion on hearsay. He does peck her on the cheek, but then unfortunately after that, there is a proper kiss, where he tilts his head to kiss her, he goes in for a proper kiss. It is only very brief.

It's so sad, he came across as having such love for his wife and child. It just seems so awful that he could do that in public. They are in a room full of people, with phones everywhere, it's insane that he would kiss her in full view of everyone. It's insane that he would kiss her at all obviously.

I know everyone says don't blame the woman, but Maura knows he his married. She is not responsible for his behaviour, but she is responsible for hers and she should have stayed away from a married man. He is 100% responsible for his side of the behaviour.

A peck on the cheek in a public place as they were leaving! It's hardly a full on snog or an affair.

My DH is painfully shy but even he would kiss a female friend on the cheek after an evening out. I'm sure Oti and Maura kissed each other goodbye too.

Everyone seems to see something different in the video - personally I see cheek, cheek, lips.

I think I would probably forgive a kiss - on the understanding it was one of forgiveness and depending on how long the relationship was - early doors - no chance but a long standing otherwise happy relationship I would be livid but would forgive it.

The Danny/Maura - have they admitted it - is there pictures or is it just speculation because I do not trust the press either - they bloody love it and will now never let it drop.

It completely depends on who it was with, random person on a night out - probably. Somebody known to either husband or both of us - probably not.

Well, this article says it 'looks like' he gave her 'a peck'. I suspect this is a bit of a non-story...

Watch the video. There was a peck at first and then definitely not a peck. You don't linger like that on a peck. There was intention. It was a proper kiss.

That would be it for me OP. No point without trust. He's an arsehole and she's an absolute hypocrite.

I wouldn't describe what I saw in the video as a snog - but it pushes what is acceptable - it does look she leaned in to instigate it but he didn't reject it.
That said - I can't stand him - I have no reason at all - just something about him that puts me off.
