Outage and emails question

So- my emails aren’t coming up on my phone. Had googled and read about the outage. Phone asking me for a password for my emails which it never does.
Should I wait in case the outage hasn’t been sorted?
Worried about suspicious activity in case I enter a password (I’d have to change it as I can’t remember it) and then still can’t get access.

If you're talking about the Outlook problem yesterday, it's been down since last night. It seems that some people have access again, but not everyone...

Try clearing your cache, and then reopen it.

This was happening to me yesterday evening with outlook/Hotmail, but its been fine since. There was an outage yesterday apparently.

I had the same problem with my emails this morning on my IPhone and IPad, but they were coming through as they should on our ancient desktop.
I had heard that there was an issue with Microsoft so re-entered my password on both Apple devices and my emails updated straightaway. It’s been working fine ever since.

Where do you enter password on iPhone? Can't find it under the mail menu or the settings app menu. I did get a notification but ignored it in case of scammers

I'm having a problem with this. I can't get into my outlook accounts at the moment and unfortunately don't know my passwords (forgot) and the way to change my passwords is to use my other account which is no good as also outlook and can't get into that either - it's circular. Or I can get a code sent to my landline which we never use and not sure where the landline phone is!! 😬🙄

I had to re-enter my password on my phone. I also had to close then reopen Outlook on my PC. All working fine now.
