Ive put this post under aibu due to the traffic in this area and I'm not sure ,if I'm overthinking or overreacting. I am currently about to have a long mental health assessment relating to hearing voices. I was asked when it started happening and did something traumatic happen at the time but I forgot about the memory during my first assessment . I was about 6. Shortly before this time ,I was on a play date without my parents in a household where dv was the norm. One of their children purposely tried to kill me/severely injured me by pushing a basketball post on top of me. His sister saw and prevented this. I was regularly bullied by his family and other kids in the years after this and he did later threaten to kill me. Could it be connected or should I try and pretend it never happened?

Just tell the person doing the assessment and they can advise. Impossible to be able to say without a wider conversation

I will do. My assessment starts next week, so hopefully Ill be able to get some advice and support then.
