Power, Influence, and the Playground of Titans: Are We Raising the Next Generation or Letting Others Shape It for Us?

Ah, My Fellow Mumsnetters, time for us to have a little chat you see, the world is not run by those who govern, nor by those who serve, but by those who influence. Power is no longer confined to the hallowed halls of Westminster or Washington

Imagine, just for a moment, if your voices, weary from the weight of daily life, turned your attention to the undercurrents of men like Trump and Musk.

Not the tabloid scandals, not the Twitter spats, but the real game being played beneath the surface the Machiavelli plots. Suddenly, the conversation wouldn’t be about whether little Timmy should eat organic; it would be about who is shaping the world Timmy will inherit.

Because power isn’t just in government buildings or boardroom it’s in the hands of those who can shape perception.

Trump, with his talent for turning spectacle into strategy, bending reality until truth itself becomes a matter of opinion.

Musk, the modern-day industrialist, playing god with technology and free speech, moving markets and minds with a single tweet. And yet, the real question isn’t what these men will do next.

will you all wake up to the reality that you are all the silent majority of the people who raise the next generation, who teach them what power really looks like or would you rather stand and protest with your banners and protests etc ?

Because if there’s one thing about power, my fellowmumsnetters, is it never asks for permission.

So fellow Mumsnetters when your busy buzzing with questions about corporate control, social media manipulation, and the moral implications of leaders who thrive on chaos. And as some of you wrestle with these issues, ask yourselves the hardest question of all: What kind of world do we want to leave behind for our children?

Let the debate begin

What's your aibu?

that the public need to protest louder with the whole trump, elon and potentially ww3, rather than just be passive readers of the news

basically should the public be protesting more rather than just discussing how bad with trump it could become with trump and musk etc ?
