Govt increase on military funding is a good thing

I have spent 55 years of my life objecting to the money that is spent on our military. Rightly or wrongly. I am a liberal and a pacifist. Even through the 80s fear of nuclear war.
For the first time ever, I agree with building our defences. I am so worried about the division within our own society, where we are so unhappy that we are blaming each other. Our nation dividing.
This is the greatest societal divide I have ever seen.
and it scares me that we are returning to an early 1900s state where we lock up pregnant unmarried women, and other “degenerates”. And we invite in extremists.
We need to protect ourselves.

Well. Yeah

Of course it's a good thing to spend money on defense, no one wants to be taken over by an invader.

It's possibly a necessary thing

But not a good thing

Those allocating the funds and making the rules do not care about defending the people who voted for them. They prefer their new friends.
