My ds DLA was awarded in 2023. How do I know when it’s needs renwing? It’s states on the letter Ds entitled until 2030 does this mean ds has been awarded 7 years!! ??

Yes, it does.

They will contact you when it needs renewing, in my experience it's every 2 years, but my 19 year old sons pip says it will be 5 so just wait for them to contact you

Yes if that's what the letter says. My son only ever gets 2 year awards.

It depends on the condition and the evidence. DD1 got a 2 year award, then 3 years, then 5 years, then to 16. DD2 got 3 years, then to 16. DD3 got straight to 16 (3 years) then she'll transfer to PIP.
