Which partner in your household(man/woman) takes more interest in keeping on top of techs like new TV, car, home suvellience kits etc.

Here it’s definitely me (female). Dh has no interest. In fact last time he needed a car he told me to find him one , he gave me a budget and a few requirements and said as an expert shopper I’d get the best deal

nice one, thanks for your reply. So when you do the shopping/research, what does he contribute in general and are you happy with the arrangement?
I am trying to find a balance(hence all the queries). I work mon-fri(full time and full on intense job), but pay is a lot more than him which is nice. I feel like the heavy toll is on my shoulder of the household, child and husband, e,g, husband's haircut reminder, anything needs a lot of reminders to be done.

Dh.

Save for the car, I am the one who comes up with the idea (me: "we need to buy a dash cam"), then he goes and looks for it on Amazon. We discuss options, I might research a bit more, read reviews and specs. He buys and sets it up.

He likes gadgets. I like safety.

OP, your dh is a bit rubbish if he cannot even manage to remember when his haircut appointment is. Is he rubbish in other ways?

I wouldn’t enable helplessness to the extent of reminding him about hair cuts. He either has it cut or he doesn’t. But all the crap about fixing energy deals, ordering the garden waste collection every year falls to me. On a personal level I sort myself and dd out and he sorts himself out. I sort out household joint stuff. It is extra workload.
