Parental control on You Tube on kid's phone

10 year old has a phone and does a short walk to school.

Thinking about any unsuitable reels that might pop up. If you have removed the You Tube app or only have restricted kids You Tube etc, what's to stop them from accessing main You Tube reels through Safari? If you remove Safari, what's to stop them installing it again?

Or if they are on iMessage on an ipad and their friend has main You Tube and your child only has restricted mode Kid's You Tube, how can you stop your child from seeing any unsuitable content that the friend has sent? They just click on the video and it appears in Safari.

Trying to navigate parental controls.

I used Parental control and digital wellbeing software | Qustodio when my dc were younger- I found it better than the inbuilt parental controls. I just used the free version but you can block different topics on safari as well as specific websites, so you could block Youtube access through safari, which would mean he also couldn't open links that led to videos on safari. You need to download it on your own phone first, set it up and then download the companion app on your ds' phone- it's very easy to use.
