I was told after my smear that I am Hpv positive. No cell changes. I have been taking ahcc supplements , along with b12 shots etc , also started papilex supplements. Hoping to shift it by next smear in august. What is the best ahcc supplement to help shift this ? Does it matter what one. Some are so expensive . I was under lot of stress . My mum was unwell and thn passed away , court, divorce, house had to be sold, attendance officers were on my case re one my daughters school refusal and no. Stop svhool meetings etc . Sleepless nights. Anti depressants . Nurse said could have been laying dormant and stress triggered it . Also I am now definitely going through my menopause. Drs and nurse said nothing I need to do juts stop smoking if I do which I don’t . 😩

I don't think there is a strong evidence base for supplements. I had similar test a few years ago and it cleared by my next PAP without me doing anything extra.

MintTwirl · 24/02/2025 11:47

Mine cleared without me needing to do anything extra.
This was a couple of years ago now, I wasn’t told to do anything to clear it, I don’t know if they now advise you to take supplements etc?

My last smear test i came back with positive for HPV.
12 months later smear came back with positive cell changes.
Now going to clinic for further test as its CIN1.
Im in limbo at the moment.
Tbh i dont understand any of it all i hear is cancer.

Michrose · 24/02/2025 12:20

No it takes years to develop into cancer . I just want to try and do what I can to flush the virus out if possible. Xx

I didn't do anything different after I had a positive hpv result with no cell changes. It had cleared when I had my follow up smear 1 year later

Try not to worry. Mine jumped from HPV+ to CIN3 within a year! I was quite shocked but had LLETZ treatment and they have since confirmed that it was definitely CIN3, they have removed it all and will need to go for another smear in 6 months. You will be absolutely fine

Errors · 24/02/2025 12:53

OP if you haven’t had bloods done recently and can afford it, use a company like Thriva to check your B12, vitamin D and iron and take steps to get all levels up to optimal rather than just ok. Mine developed further I am convinced because my vitamin D was low. Increasing that and my iron has done wonders for my immune system. But try not to worry

I had the same experience. Don’t panic.

Thank you errors. Sorry don’t know how to directly reply lol. Yes my mum had same problem as you in her 30s. I did have bloods and I was low on vitamin d. So that was out right and bloods before I had low iron. Also they did an extra swab came back I had strep b. Said was very common and would never know . Said to make me feel better they would give antibiotics but said it usually goes away on its own. They knew I was a worrier and said the antibiotics will clear it . I do vine have the b12 injections but now tablets as he ask no need to keep having the shots . At least now I am paying more attention to my health from all of this x

Where are you OP? I've also read AHCC may help eradicate HPV. And I guess if you can afford the supplements, why not get right? In UK here and I can't see AHCC readily available in any of the major stores. Whereabouts are you and what brand are you taking? I note they're made from shiitake mushrooms. Shiitake mushrooms have known to be amazing at fighting cancer and building immune. Have you tried cooking with shiitake too?

i but my ahcc online. Kinoko platinum and pinktribe. Started taking them and b12 injections ,now juts have b12 tablets , vitamin d3. I take two tablets twice a day for the ahcc. I haven't been unwell as in common cold , flu etc since taking them in September . Doesn't mean the virus has gone though or developed . Thats what I worry about.
