To ask about these lines around my mouth? Mid 30s

Laaaaaazzzzy · 22/02/2025 15:55

They're worse on one side, probably due to how I sleep. Maybe they're normal for my age (34) but they're getting me down when I look in the mirror.
I don't smoke or drink, drink water, wear spf 50 and so on. I've tried tretinoin but didn't feel a difference even after a few months. Any suggestions?

the marks on your cheeks?

No the small lines forming at the sides of my mouth and more pronounced nasolabial folds

I feel ugly atm because I'm skint but going grey, eyebrows need doing, teeth need whitening but I'm on a tight budget..

KittenPause · 22/02/2025 16:03

Well you're definitely not ugly

Lovely shaped lips btw

They're just normal and don't age you or anything

You look absolutely fine

Don't waste your time stressing over it unnecessarily just enjoy life you look lovely

TeaRoseTallulah · 22/02/2025 16:04

I can't see what you're talking about .

ploppydoppy · 22/02/2025 16:04

sorry!
It's because I couldn't see any other lines.

Osory · 22/02/2025 16:05

I think you look young and beautiful in those photos! Try stop focusing on them as I honestly had to Google to find out what you were talking about. your skin looks wrinkle -less to me...
I do know the feeling tho. I don't notice wrinkles anymore but I got v pissed off with a deep crease between my eyes (the 11s) a few years ago and a few Botox treatments has softened it a lot so don't look perma angry anymore.

Cunningfungus · 22/02/2025 16:08

Have you had your lips done? (Apologies if that offends you). If so, could it be something to do with that? but honestly, you look good!

Laaaaaazzzzy · 22/02/2025 16:08

Thanks everyone for being so kind. I am very harsh on myself about my looks and tend to fixate on things.

Your nasolabial folds? They become more pronounced with age as your cheeks drop. Some people reduce their appearance with filler.

The little wrinkle at the corner of your mouth? It’s due to movement. In more pronounced cases, it can give a frowning look. Some people use Botox to reduce the turned down look.

There will be lots more changes in your face over the years. When you’re in your 30s, you look different from your 20s. And when you’re in your 40s, you’ll look different again.

InWithThePlums · 22/02/2025 16:09

You’re obsessing OP- those are nothing!

slartibartfastina · 22/02/2025 16:14

I don't see any lines that could be corrected. There's a lovely contour to your cheek but that's because your face is not flat! From what I can see, you are beautiful, OP.

ViciousCurrentBun · 22/02/2025 16:21

If your getting this stressed about it at 30 then really look at why op. I’m almost twice your age and have never got so worried and I most definitely have lines now.

No that's ok, I haven't had my lips done, I had filler in the nasolabial folds about 9 months ago but seems to have worn off.

I think you mean your marionette lines but they are hardly noticeable. Mine appeared once I'd lost weight, had filler in them twice but it didn't work

Her lips look naturally full not done at all

HeyItsPickleRick · 22/02/2025 16:54

Is it the start of what they call marionette lines? Just normal ageing. From the snippet I can see you look beautiful with incredible lips!

SnowyintheATL · 22/02/2025 17:21

You have gorgeous full lips, I’m jealous. And I don’t notice any lines, like a pp said your lips will have all the attention.😂

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 22/02/2025 17:28

I use a home tinting kit on my eyebrows. Takes 10m max, and it costs about a tenner for a year's supply!

Ps, I can't see anything wrong with your mouth.

MasterBeth · 22/02/2025 17:54

Any suggestions?

Therapy to alter the way you think that your normal (actually, beautiful) face is a problem to be solved with chemicals and fillers.

I genuinely wouldn’t know - it was just a thought - she has beautiful lips!

ValentineValentineV · 22/02/2025 18:04

Start of a wrinkle.

well your lips are gorgeous anyway! I’m jealous as mine are non existent but I’m too “sensible” to get any work done lol

You could get a tiny bit in your top lip, I do this every five years otherwise it looks like I literally don’t have a top lip. Even with the filler they are small but more in the ‘normal’ region rather than no lips.
