Nerf guns

Do you let your kids have them? Ds would love to get some but I really dislike all things gun and war related. He thinks that am boring and all his friends have them. How do others feel about them?

We had a nerf war about 2 days ago. I say we, it was me (36) dh (39) and ds (17). Husband was the only one with a gun to hand, firing up the stairs at us as we pelted him with the younger kids cuddly toys because it was the only ammo we had. When those ran out, it was toilet rolls 😂
Just let him have a nerf gun. And get one yourself so you can whoop his ass defend yourself and have fun doing it.

I used to feel the same way. Then realised it was just fun. Keeps them away from screens!

DB and SIL were visiting from overseas with their DC. We didn’t know SIL was against them and gave our full armoury to the four kids and let them lose around the house and garden. They still talk about it two years on - they had an absolute riot then took ages afterwards collecting all the bullets back in. SIL didn’t say much.
