Shamelessly posting here for traffic.

Teen niece has purchased hair straighteners and I would like to buy a decent hair protective spray for her.

What's the best out there? Hair is fine to medium.

My hairdresser uses the wella professionals heat spray, it’s purple and smells lovely

Best I've used as someone with lifelong shite hair is Davines Oi all in one milk. Makes my hair beautifully soft shiney and smells gorgeous

Not cheap but one of those where I spend a small fortune on crappy ones then discovered this. I have shoulder length hair and use x 4 sprays and a large bottle lasts me a good 6 months using it three times a week

Colour Wow dreamcoat

It’s like magic

Candystripes85 · 21/02/2025 20:43

I use Neil and Wolf and Matrix. The matrix one is really nice as it’s also a leave in conditioner (doesn’t make your hair greasy or limp) and has a few other things in it as well that makes my hair feel really nice. The Neil and Wolf smells amazing and is a really good basic heat protection spray.

They are both on the expensive side, but as someone who also has your nieces hair type and absolutely destroyed it over the years using cheap heat protections, I think they are both worth the cost.

I love this Alfaparf Milano

Color Wow Kale Dream Cocktail then Colour Wow Dreamcoat every 3 washes. My thin dry hair has transformed to thick, soft and shiny. Even my hairdresser is amazed.

Quietnowplease · 21/02/2025 20:47

Same as @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz

Davines Oi all in one milk.

I use it on damp hair then dry and style

Sometimes I use a shine spray after blow drying and before straightening

Sebastian Professional Trilliant spray. Smells like melon!

DuckDuckGoosieGander · 21/02/2025 21:27

@Runningoutofthyme I use this too, also recommended by my hairdresser. I've been using it for the last couple of years and my dry frizzy hair is lovely and smooth.

I usually buy from Amazon and very often on offer around £8. Amazon have it listed as 'Wella Professionals EIMI Thermal Image Heat Protection Spray with Light, Flexible Hold, For Protected, Smooth and Shiny Hair, 150ml'

I like the Tigi bed head one
