Does anyone here work for DWP?

And know how easy/hard it would be for another parent to sabotage a DLA claim? My ex is in denial of our sons challenges. He is likely to contact DLA knowing that i have made a claim. Is he likely to be able to request the details of the claim? I'm very scared of him and he will go to no end to sabotage my finances.

I don’t work for the DWP, but I’m very sure they won’t share details of your DS’s claim with him. You are the representative of the claim and they won’t discuss any of it with him.

And plus, you will be sending in medical evidence. He can be denial all he wants about your son’s challenges but the proof is all there. They’re not going to listen to him over a medical professional and you as his primary carer.

It's horrible. I have support from the school, teachers, safeguarding lead, sendco, they've made an edpsych referral, we have a family support worker, yet he is still telling people that I'm making it all up. It makes me very, very anxious. It's horrible being talked about in that way. It's scary to think he'd probably try and sabotage me. The worst thing is what on earth is he saying to our son.

Hi no but I texted my brother for you who is a DM for dla. As you are the appointee it is you who are authorised to make the claim for your child and your child’s dad cannot stop it. If he reports fraud there is a possibility it may be looked into but even that is unlikely. As you have evidence from third parties nothing would come of it. Edit as pp says the claim would not be discussed with him.

It’s fine I wouldn’t want anyone to be worrying.
