Au, not UK, but solicitors firms that advertise that if you have an accident etc they'll do your insurance claim through our version of a pension (we can have life/tpd/ip via our pensions).

They make it sound like it's a difficult court process to claim. Its just forms & getting doc / incident reports to tick boxes. You only need legal help if you get a refusal & want to challenge.

A friend did it, claimed AUD200k. The solicitor took about 50k. All they did was tell friend what insurance company wanted & friend had to source it, fill out the forms & solicitor passed it on. DH was livid as he could have helped if they really needed it (in the industry). What a rort!!
