To ask what these red marks are on my wrist?

So just noticed these under the skin blood blister type marks on my skin. Nothing happened that I’m aware off.
they seem “internal” as in no broken skin or pain on the outside. No pain inside either.

I do wear two loose fine chain bracelets on this arm so only thing I can think of is they slipped down there in the night and somehow did that? But I feel like that would be an outer graze ….

Any forensic pathologists around? 🤣

Have you leant on the edge of a desk for example that may have bruised your arm maybe yesterday or the day before?

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 20/02/2025 13:50

Itchy? Looks like scabies tracks

potatopaws · 20/02/2025 13:52

It’s probably the bracelets, could it be bruising? Might they have somehow been pulled tight? Or perhaps you lay on them for a long time and they dug in, bursting delicate blood vessels?

This.

I’m really worried it’s scabies now as some photos online look kind of like this … but they always seem bumpy but these are smooth. Am freaking out

Have you been gardening, I always end up with marks like that aft3 cutting things back even though I feel nothing at the time

BooseysMom · 20/02/2025 18:31

I've had scabies and the doctor said they don't travel any higher than your waistline. My legs were off the scale itchy and I never had any tracks. They stayed around my ankles and lower legs, no higher.

EBearhug · 20/02/2025 18:37

I got makes like thst recently when I was asked to carry a bag lower when I was in a gallery - you could see where the weight had been hanging off my wrist. Don't think it would have happened when I was younger, but my skin seems to be more fragile now I'm in my 50s.

Not sure that’s true. No higher then the neck unless a baby or young child

That could be in I’m early 50s. Everything is going to hell in a hand basket.

not itchy though so hopeful not scabies

For heaven's sakes they're not fucking scabies tracks, why do people who know fuck all about anything always post alarmist nonsense on threads like this and freak people out?

They're called petechiae, they're harmless broken blood vessels below the skin and will have been caused by the bracelets being pulled tight or drawn across the skin. It's the same kind of "injury" as a hickey! Totally harmless and will fade, but maybe take your bracelets off before bed.

Most likely the bracelets if you wear 2, and there are 2 marks. It will go in a few days, don’t over think it.
