To think that New Look should have delivered my parcel where I asked?

I ordered a dress last week. I filled in the form where it said where to put the parcel if I wasn't in. I asked them to put it in my blue recycling bin ( because I knew it wasn't being collected till the following week so was safe ). I checked my bin every day. No parcel. Got an email today saying parcel was safely delivered last week! They had delivered it to a neighbour. These neighbours are dreadful. The man is an aggressive drug user that I've had horrible encounters with previously. They got the parcel last week but have not knocked on my door to let me know. I knocked on their door tonight. Got no answer. Contacted New Look but of course there's no actual human to talk to.

I'm just so pissed off that New Look ( or rather Evri) couldn't have followed a simple instruction, and there's no one at New Look to talk to , to sort this out! I really don't want to order anything from them again when there's no guarantee a parcel can be delivered safely.

Evri are the worst!

CallMeFlo · 19/02/2025 23:02

The fault isn't with New Look. It's 100% with Evri - who have said they expect to lose something like 8 million parcels this year.

Saying that though it's down to NL to replace or reimburse you.

ilovesooty · 19/02/2025 23:02

Evri should have followed your instructions.

Barleysugar86 · 19/02/2025 23:02

I think you probably need a better request- perhaps neighbours on the other side? They might not be allowed to put things in bins in case they get collected and the parcel is lost.

FallOfTheHouseOfUtterlyButterly · 19/02/2025 23:22

*Evri not NL

Try posting on NL's socials if you can't find an email or use the chat bot

The courier we use won't leave a parcel in a bin or similar unless there's a signed note on the customer's door advising they're happy for them to do so - even when it's in the delivery instructions. If it's a signed for parcel, a lot of drivers will stick to that if that isn't in place and try a neighbour instead. That said, New Look should look into this for you and send a new parcel if you aren't able to retrieve yours. We certainly would.

So spoke to the neighbours tonight. They said they've SENT THE PARCEL BACK! Great. I hate my neighbours so much, they're aggressive, weed smoking idiots. So now I have to try and sort out this mess with an AI Chat bot...

Lesson to self, do not get anything blg delivered to my house ever again! I hate modern life...

They are awful. I've taken to getting everything delivered to lockers or parcel shops. I shouldnt have to but Im so fed up of incompetent delivery people. Ive had 4 parcels stolen in the last month because they've just left them on the doorstep for the world to see.

Most of those lost parcels are mine

The cocks shouldn't have accepted it ffs

Comeonbabylightmyfire · 21/10/2025 08:49

If it helps, Evri fucked up a new look order of mine but new look chat thing was really helpful. I got refunded and told to keep the item if it turned up.

JudgeBread · 21/10/2025 08:52

It's nothing to do with New Look, it's the courier you have an issue with.

Fyi though I've worked for Evri, Amazon and royal mail over the years and all of us are told absolutely never to leave parcels in bins, even if the customer has it listed as their safe space. Behind them is fine but never in them. So just for future reference, that'll be why they've done it. We'd get a royal bollocking if we got caught doing it, it was one of the only no-no's.

TheShed7 · 21/10/2025 08:53

Let's just hope that eight months later, this is all sorted.
