Does anyone else's partner do this?

DH will ask me a question and when I answer he will ignore what I say if it doesn't go along with the answer/scenario he must have decided already in his head.

This is usually when he's annoyed about something. Say if he asks me where something is that he needs and I say I don't know where it is, because I don't, he will carry on as if I have said I hid it or moved it. So then I will respond again with the fact I haven't seen or touched it and again he will ignore that and be annoyed with me.

I tend to then just walk away and have stopped letting it escalate into an argument because you can't argue with him once he's decided a story in his head. He just wont listen.

Did you mean DS? I don't know any adults who behave like that.

Unfortunately DH wasn't a typo

You can't kick dogs these days, so many men emotionally kick their partners. He needs to take responsibility for his problems.
