Bank Emails

My bank (Lloyds) has a habit of sending me emails at 11pm, 12pm even later than 1am in the morning.

AIBU to think this is unacceptable? If my phone isn't on silent the notifications wake me up and it just seems ridiculous to me that a bank would email their customers in the middle of the night.

YABVVVVU

Why do you even have notifications on for emails? Turn them off. You must be being "pinged" constantly. Businesses in particular often send emails overnight, I assume it's easier/efficient because of the volume being sent.

Emails and texts are communications sent at the convenience of the sender to be read at the convenience of the receiver. You are in charge of when and whether you get notifications so just put your phone on sleep mode (like everyone else does!).

Just put your phone on night mode or turn off notifications.

Because the system will be set up to mass send the "your statement is ready" or whatever emails at midnight because it'll be set up to send on the 1st of every month so it sends as it becomes the 1st

Just silence your emails. It's not hard.
