Screwed up job interview

Sorry, I know this is not aibu. I just can't sleep and looking for some encouragement. Had a job interview today. There are not many in my sector. Totally screwed it. I feel like a complete fool. I could not even speak properly. I'm so frustrated because I know I am well qualified for it. But the minute I have to present myself I look like an utter idiot.

I'm sure you weren't nearly as bad as you think OP, what makes you think that you made a hash of things?

Thank you, but I just waffled incoherently when trying to respond to some questions. I am just cringing thinking back of it. And forgot so many things in my examples that I did do in real life but simply did not mention...

It happens. I used to be terrible but found I've gotten better as I've gotten older because I relax more and just have more example scenarios. When you muck up an external interview, all you can really do is chalk it up to experience and move on.

If they ring you to tell you you didn't get it, you could say you understand as you were having a very off day. Otherwise, just try and forget about it.
