To hate the thought that I have to see my ex because of the kids

I wish my life would be so much easier/happer/less anxiety etc if he just said he didn’t want to see them anymore. I hate the way he treated us at the end of our relationship and feel like I will have this constant tie to him.

How old are the dc? Once our youngest got to secondary school we had nc....

Organise everything through an intermediary, he has no hold over you. You don't have to see him.

It gets easier in time. Have kids ready and send them on their way with a wave. No need for any in-depth conversation.

Have the kids all ready to go and don't converse beyond a simple hello/goodbye. Keep any necessary conversations about the kids via email.

You will be connected for life so keep it brief and businesslike.
