It’s a driving one

I was dricing today and on the route is a junction with a traffic light camera. I travel down this road easily 3 or 4 times a week. I was on autopilot and can’t remember 5 minutes of the journey, like at all. I do remember looking back just after I’d gone through the junction to see all the cars behind me had stopped, although I don’t think there was anyone directly behind me IIRC. I usually am very careful and conscious of driving through this junction to make sure the light is green but on this occasion I don’t remember making a note of it. I am really worried I ran a red light and will get a fine. DH says other cars would’ve beeped if so as it’s a busy junction and I’d have been in their path. He’s probably right and I know no can do now… but how do I put it out my head?

Your DH is right, you will have just been on auto pilot. Just make yourself busy with something else and you'll soon forget it!

It was probably changing to amber.

If it makes you feel any better OP DH is an actual pilot and after long stints of working abroad has been known on occasion to forget that traffic lights exist as he’s so used to being on autopilot… he has never received a fine.

Very few lights have a camera attached, you’ll be absolutely fine. Nobody harmed is the main thing.

Accept you have zero control over it and wait and see what the postman brings over the next few weeks.

As a sanity check ensure your driving licence has your current address on. So if you do receive a letter you have the option to pay any fine early.

This particularly junction does annoyingly, that’s why I’m so worried!

Get a dash cam.

In future be a bit more aware but also realise we all occasionally have a few dozy moments.

I have never ran a red light but I've gone through lights and thought I might've done and had to check the dash cam to make sure I didn't. Dash cams are a good piece of mind device lol.
