To think she is tone deaf? Just watched her on This morning doing a supermarket Valentines meal segment.

She slated the food from Asda and it took Ben to point out that it was only £11 for the 2 meals, it tasted nice and it was great value. Utterly tone deaf to what a huge majority of the population can afford.

She was also incredibly rude constantly talking over the lady presenting the meals. So much so that Ben had to ask for it to be repeated.

Yes! So my post was deleted! I meant This Morning has had its day! Jeez. As if I’d speak about either woman in a derogatory way! Clearly they don’t know what old tripe means. Means rubbish here in South London

Edited

Means exactly the same at the other end of the country as well.

Ah, good. Glad someone gets it x

Flamingoknees · 11/02/2025 13:18

I'm glad she was honest, but she over did it, and was rude. She did say the lasagne was nice, I think.

Gemma893 · 11/02/2025 13:19

I didn't see it but I'd rather someone said if they didn't like something rather than fakely pretending they did.

Just looked up the Asda deal and it looks like it's all processed microwave meals so don't blame Cat for turning her nose up at it. You could probably make something much better yourself for the same price. Let's face it a microwave cottage pie or lasagne is absolutely nothing like homemade.

I think its just the show, its awful. I don't think anyone who appears on it comes off well Holly Willoughby used to seem so stuck up and false on it as well, I mean she might be but the format is just so old and tired now its time to sack it off.

This.

And there is no trust now Phil and Gino have been exposed.

Someone realised that if the most outrageous things were done and said they would masses of YouTube clicks.

She's always so manic and over exaggerating gestures and facial expressions, it's just too much. Think she lived out in la la land for too long.

Totally agree. She’s hard to watch sometimes, At least she’s stopped saying “For sure, for sure” all the bloody time. Someone must have had a word.

theressomanytinafeysicouldbe · 11/02/2025 13:53

I like Alison and Dermot. I also like Josie and that hot Irish guy - can't remember his name.

But yes, I agree the format is a little tired and some of the topics are boring.

And i'm sick of playing spin to win and not winning lol

TrainTicket · 11/02/2025 13:59

I watched it too. I don’t like her on This Morning one bit. She doesn’t listen to the people she interviews properly, says random statements without backing them up with anything, talks over everyone and then does that strange manic laugh when nobody else is laughing with her like she’s trying to make it look (forced) fun. I cringe for her.
Ben often looks uncomfortable when she says things.
Allison and Dermot/Ben do a far better job.

HappyNewYou · 11/02/2025 14:04

Daytime tv is so bad, the presenters seem to me as though they know they’re presenting trash. Easy money for crap they’d never watch themselves / openly take the piss out of.
Overpaid time wasters.

Rumpoleoftheballet · 11/02/2025 21:41

Glad to see I'm not alone! Well for most of the posters...

Before she got with Patrick Kielty I saw him on a programme eat maggots.

I can't look at him without remembering that and feeling queasy.

How she can have marries him is beyond me as he doesn't come across as being interesting or intelligent.
