To think our local Pharmacy could afford a new sign?

Local Pharmacy in an affluent suburb. Their sign has been there for decades. I mean, just LOOK at the state of it. Surely they can afford a new one. Makes me laugh every time I drive past 😂.

Maybe they’re doing No Buy 2025?

Iamallowedtodisagreewithyou · 10/02/2025 22:50

We cant vote without seeing the sign

head2toeinuniqlo · 10/02/2025 22:51

The images are still under review. Be patient - it's worth it 😂

Lord above that is ominous!

Organisedwannabe · 10/02/2025 23:02

8 pharmacies are closing a week in England because they’re no longer profitable. They probably don’t have the money.

wipeywipe · 10/02/2025 23:03

Do you live in Royston Vasey?!

MorrisZapp · 10/02/2025 23:05

Is that a Banksy?

marmiteandcheeseoncrumpetspls · 10/02/2025 23:11

I can't see a picture! What am I missing?

SofaSpuds · 10/02/2025 23:12

I still can't see the pic 😕

sankacoolrunnings · 10/02/2025 23:12

Yep this. Just because they're in an affluent area doesn't mean they're rakinv it. And pharmacies are expected to provide more and more services without adequate funding.

head2toeinuniqlo · 11/02/2025 04:20

It's not in the U.K., it's in Sydney, Australia. A wealthy suburb with a rich, older demographic.

Trust me, they're racking it in.

I have checked it out on Street View. The sign has been there since about 2013 and looked fine until 2019. I wonder what made it deteriorate so quickly. Maybe UV damage from the sun. They are keeping it there to promote sunscreen and sun safety

How did you know where to look up?

How did you know where to look up?

Most of the name of the suburb is visible in the photo

I can vouch for this.

I missed that the OP is in Australia, and I can't see a photo yet.

Can see the photos now.... blimey!! Did someone take a torch to them?
Maybe like PP said.... it's an anti-sun message 🤔

mummymummymummummum · 11/02/2025 10:15

Our local pharmacy became an indi after Lloyds disappeared. Their sign is several bits of paper sellotaped together and a logo drawn on in felt pen. But I’m in England, so pharmacies are run differently to those in Australia.

ItGhoul · 11/02/2025 10:19

I mean, it's bold of them to go with an image of demon faces leering out from a portal into Hell, but I suppose it's eye-catching

Neveranynamesleft · 11/02/2025 10:20

If it bothers you that much you could always buy or make them a new one...
