Honeymoon recommendations

Getting married this year and have absolutely no idea where to go for our honeymoon!

We have a UK spa break immediately after the wedding in July and want to go away properly in September/October

Not 'sit on the beach' people so want somewhere with plenty to do.

I love animals. He loves history.

Not a huge fan of heat but can cope with ~25-30 degrees.

Budget 10k - could push to 15k

Give me your recommendations please!

Sri Lanka? We did a week’s tour for our honeymoon and loved it. Lots of wildlife and amazing cultural sites. We followed this with a week in the Maldives but this probably isn’t your cup of tea if you’re not beach lovers. Beautiful place though.

We did a road trip around California in September and it was amazing. We flew into LA, went to Palm Springs, up to Mammoth Mountains / Yosemite, across to San Fran then down the coastal highway back to LA. You could miss out Palm Springs to stay within sensible temperatures!

Japan! It's amazing, so many incredible sights, sounds and tastes!

Sri Lanka I hadnt considered! A quick google suggests lots for us both

Japan is definately on our list of maybes - partner would definately love but not sure theres a huge amount for me

Dont think i can bring myself to visit the US whilst Trumps in office! Dont want to support their economy under him if i can avoid it!
