I'm still stuck figuring out how an unknown Australian architect ended up with him, and dressing the way she does. I don't think she is being bullied particularly , though she looks a bit spaced out sometimes, she could come home if she wanted, but how the heck did that happen and why aren't her family flying over and grabbing her now. It's very odd. And also how is Kanye so rich, I couldn't name one of his songs ( maybe Golddigger ?) and did anyone actually buy any of that awful fashion line , so where's the money coming from?

Mental health is a leveler no matter if you're rich or poor. Just because he states "I'm sane! And white!"... I'm pretty sure we can say he's not white, any more than agreeing he's actually a Nazi advocate, or hating Jewish folk, or saying rain water is illegal. Or whatever he's spouting today?...

The man is unwell. Clinically unwell. He's not served by having the money for not being Sectioned.

Kim's revelation about his bipolar was a bit of a PR stunt, IMO.

X is that bad these days that his posts didn't even seem that shocking to me - you only have to spend 5 minutes on there to see even worse. This week I've seen posts calling for Palestinian babies to be raped - celebrating the death of children if they're on the wrong 'side' -posts from both sides calling each other rats that need to be exterminated.

I suspect a lot of these posts are done by agitators trying to garner support for their cause by posing as the opposition and writing really despicable shit. In fact I think a lot of X accounts are just agitators - it's a depressing place to scroll.

Kanye is small fry in comparison, he's just an arrogant overgrown toddler wanting attention - there's lots of them on there unfortunately.

All social media definitely brings out the racists (even The Sewell Report pointed that out.)

X is by far the worst though. It’s why I laugh when people accuse all those who left of being “snowflakes”.

Somebody his comments received 70k likes and that was “shocking”.

Maybe on The Guardian website or BlueSky it would be shocking. On X it seems low.

It just feels to me that a number of people are just now realising how normal racism is and I genuinely wonder where they have been.

His music.

He was (is?) a very successful rapper. It’s maybe not your style but for rap fans his music was very popular.

The issue is other people's reaction to his words - or lack of. So many have been cancelled and lost their careers for less. How the hell does he get invited to the Grammys (to show off his naked wife)? How is his music still played?

I'm Jewish and abhor him. My concern, as always, is everyone else's silence in the face of antisemitism. Again. The silence to, and inaction against, literally led to the holocaust.

If you're a huge supporter of free speech than surely you should be a huge supporter of free silence as well? It seems weird that you're quite happy for KW to spout anti semitism but not for people to quietly agree with him, or to not care.

Personally I'm quite content with idea that both speech and silence should have well defined limits.
