I agree. If I were Kim my biggest regret would be having a relationship with him. I don't know how you even start explaining this shit to your kids. The naked wife, the horrific comments. Just awful. However rich and privileged they are, they still have to witness all this, if not in person then on social media, the news, through other kids at school. I'd be genuinely concerned about their safety when with him -if not from him personally then from others who he has seriously offended.

IIRC Kanye has been "cancelled" a few times. But he's really rich and lots of people are antisemitic so he doesn't care. As long as he's getting the attention he craves. Hate clicks are just as valuable as likes to him.

There are a frightening number of people who follow him and like his tweets. Once upon a time people wouldn't want to be associated with that kind of content; now people are happy to like it in public. That is alarming.

What does godwinned the thread mean?

Godwin's Law is often misunderstood as simply being that the longer an online debate goes, the more likely it is that someone will make a comparison to Nazis. It's often coupled with an assumption that to do so automatically forfeits the 'argument'.

However, people often miss the additional context that Godwin did not intend for it to mean that Nazi comparisons are never valid - and has himself called out current figures and events (such as the MAGA movement) as being perfectly valid comparisons to Nazi Germany.

And, of course, in this case Kanye himself earlier tweeted about his love of Hitler. Which rather negates the whole argument of Godwins Law being inappropriate here

Godwin's law states that the first person to bring up Hitler has lost the argument and the longer any internet argument goes on, the more likely someone will bring Hitler or the Nazis into it

X is a cesspit. It was already the worst pub on the internet when it was twitter. Now it it's mostly a space for the mentally unwell and extremists seeking an echo chamber. All having their strings pulled by its owner.

One of the, minor but, issues I have with Muskrat renaming Twitter is that all the media outlets have to give him extra space to say, "X formerly known as Twitter"; its Twitter, people send Tweets.

I can never understand why anyone takes any notice of men like him. A sad little has-been with no relevance today. The most powerful reaction to his vile behaviour is silence, no reaction at all.

Because it's owned and hosted by someone who's just the same, if not much worse than all of them, Elon Musk. He wanted to be free to tweet his racist, etc posts in peace and allow/bring back everyone who was "silenced" because of it so he bought a huge platform. They're posting these things and liking them openly because there's a popular open space for it now on Twitter/X.

Now he's 'First Friends' with president Trump whom he brought back to Twitter/X after being banned from it, so of course they're untouchable. It's why he (Elon) was emboldened to make his first sly, awkward "accidental" nazi salute out in the open for the world to see.
