Yes the wretched Italian chef - not giving his name credence. https://www.itv.com/watch/news/the-latest-headlines-multiple-claims-of-inappropriate-behaviour-against-gino-dacampo/5wr9dh3

Hiding in plain sight.

There are others, I switch over on another popular "star" because of what he did to me and others when we were young.

AIBU to find this exhausting

I dare say there are a good few more names that'll come out over time, and rightly so they should be bought to court to face charges.

My only questioning on these cases though, No I'm not putting my tin hat on is should the accused have their name dragged all over the media, whether that be a so called celebrity or.... a Joe Bloggs MNers DH/DP, yes broadcast it on the news but to name a person without a full investigation is a bit Kangeroo court like.

this is click bait
why on earth didnt you put his name

Did you not know who it is then? Italian on breakfast tv and friendly with Fred and Gordon.
Personally I always found him crude and offensive and turned over. but in his defence he has been encouraged and laughed with for his behaviour so it’s a bit rich to suddenly change the guidelines on him.

This doesn't even surprise me tbh

He already has a criminal conviction, no? What's a little misogyny to boot

He's funny at times but seems like he has small man syndrome.

When I watched Gordon gino and Fred, it seemed to me that Gordon was careful around him, something in the way he'd look at him. Defo me overthinking there but, not surprised

Love Gordon & Fred though 😊

CRD67 · 07/02/2025 18:25

It's in the public domain, you're not going to be sued 🙄

I remember him being on I'm a Celebrity.

He admitted he had ignored his wife on two occasions for 24 hours, because she burped. He said if she broke wind in front of him, he'd divorce her.

Ever since then I thought he was a pathetic, controlling twat.

If I were his wife I would be burping, farting and picking my nose every time I saw him! 😂😂

Porcelainpig · 06/02/2025 23:09

Not surprised. Can't wait for the axe to finally fall on Walliams, although I feel like he's so bad everyone would do their utmost to bury it all.

He creeps me out too! Always has

If we waited for an investigation and verdict before naming men then Harvey Weinstein would still be raping women in his hotel room. The criminal justice system isn’t reliable enough

And women are still routinely not believed anyway. When the Gregg Wallace allegations first started trickling out there were lots of posters who didn't think it sounded "that bad". If we give these men carte blanche to operate under a code of silence then we are actively going to make life so much harder for all women.

Crakajak · 07/02/2025 19:08

Don't think changing values should be respectively punishable however he was a burglar so shouldn't have been on the box in the first place.

MannyTeddy · 07/02/2025 19:24

Not surprising at all 🙄🙄

It's for the same reason rapists and sex offenders don't get anonymity during the legal process, because it encourages other victims to come forward. These aren't isolated accusations, it's a series of accusations over a number of years by several different people so clearly there is an issue there to be answered for.

Cotonsugar · 07/02/2025 19:50

There will be another one in the news very soon😐

DiduAye · 07/02/2025 19:53

Never liked him jumped up PITA

Youngheartsalittletogetherness · 07/02/2025 19:56

Known as Gino di fucking campio in our house, detestable fucker with the exaggerated Italian accent.

ThistleTits · 07/02/2025 20:23

@HoraceCope possible super injunction in place.

HarrietsweetHarriet · 07/02/2025 20:39

Most personnel on Road Trip and similar shows are self employed freelancers with zero job security . Complain about anything and you don't get booked again. There are dozens waiting to take your place.
Of the three, the only one I would rescue from a fire is Fred.
I signed an NDA.
Can't say more.

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 07/02/2025 20:59

@HarrietsweetHarriet I have a lot of love for Fred. His reaction to his daughter winning a medal at the Olympics had me 😭.

Reminds me of that Sex and the City episode where Carrie is mortified cos she farts in front of Big
Even Big (yes i know hes fictional) says so what youre human.

Gino doesnt see women as human.

But Fred still works with men that are known creeps.

Aworldofmyown · 07/02/2025 21:27

I watched a live cooking show with him in. He was vile. I've never watched anything with him in again.

I am disappointed to see that he posted today about his new kitchen but is keeping quiet about GDC. Particularly as he is the father of a daughter.

100%. And who was the producer of Celebrity Juice? Can’t remember his name but it was Holly Willoughby’s husband. So he encouraged the behaviour of the likes of Gino towards his own wife. 🤢
HW is a very powerful woman in ITV, yet she carried on working with this creep on This Morning. Also worked with the other creep Scofield but she denied knowing anything about that. 🤔

Holly, Philip and Gino are all awful people. I’ve worked in the industry a while and they don’t have good reputations. HW especially at the height of This Morning and Celebrity Juice was so full of herself and was so bitchy to everyone who wasn’t famous or could benefit her in some way. She knew about the creeps who she was friends with and just tried to save her own image.
Aside from grooming a young man and abusing his position of power, PS was also just a nasty piece of work who was rude to everyone

Doughnut89 · 07/02/2025 22:54

ChessorBuckaroo · 07/02/2025 12:04

You mean he did nothing illegal.

It can still be wrong though. I know Elton John and others have suggested nothing would have been said had it been a man and a younger woman, in other words homophobia is at play, but it was the fact he knew him from when he was 15, in a position of authority got him a gig at ITV, then had sex with him when he was of legal age, and behind his wife's back. He said it wasn't grooming and we can only take his word for it. It just doesn't look right though.

As much as I agree that there was an element of homophobia in the reporting and coverage of PS, it doesn’t make what he did right. And I would hope there would still be public outrage and a sacking if a man of Philips age and position / power groomed a 15 year old girl, even if he waited until she was legal to have sex with her

Audiprettier · 07/02/2025 23:18

When I read about this particular person, (can't stand him either) I've been surprised he's even been allowed on any TV shows. He burgled a famous pop-star's home years ago, stealing different items and apparently stole some really personal items of this person's mum that could never be replaced.
What an awful man. He's disgusting! I can't bear to watch anything he's in. Glad he's been exposed!
