AIBU to contact the local radio station regarding their 'joke' feature?

This morning, driving to the gym, local radio breakfast show was on. They started a feature 'what's the worst way your partner has embarassed you in public' and it was explained as 'oh ha ha ha after Kanye West was embarassed by his wife wearing nothing at the Grammys'

Now, I've never ever contacted the station. I'm not one of those people who complains at anything, and to be honest I don't really want to complain here, more educate. It's very likely, in fact I'd put money on it, that Bianca is being abused by Kanye. This IMO isn't a thing to joke about for a radio feature, it's very very serious. And lets say he knew nothing about it, begged her not to even, and she chose to 'wear' that 'dress'-thats also incredibly problematic, in that all of the other people around didn't consent to seeing her naked body like that. So whichever way you look at it, it's not great.

Would I be unreasonable to send a carefully worded (so polite, calm, but explaining) email to them about this 'fun feature'?

I read this and said an audible HUH - Kanye was embarrassed by his wife???

The thing is, no matter how normal and sane you are, there's always someone who is foolish. Anybody with sense can tell Kanye is exploiting this woman to make him relevant in fashion again.

Kim may have been into it, but Kim also had a lot of people behind her. Bianca is being exploited imo. Rooting for her freedom.

Well if it was me it would be not to do stupid shit like that again.

I don’t know enough about the couple to say whether she is a victim of abuse or another z list celeb desperate for headlines at any cost.

But I’m fairly certain your comments will not have any effect and you’re likely to be dismissed. The radio hosts are the sort of people who see feminist and woke as bad things, not because they (the media) have made them that way and have turned the perfectly reasonable woman’s name Karen into another derogatory name for woman who stand up for themselves and others.

If you’re going to put your name on the line, I’d probably choose someone better to protect that media hungry ‘celebs’.

I think Kanye and Bianca are twats (I used to love Kanye).

But nothing about her implies she’s being abused.

She’s an attention seeker who likes to get naked in public, like every other one of his ex girlfriends.

He’s an attention seeker and knows the more provocative the act, the more views he’ll get.

The best way to deal with people like that is ignore them.
(And ban them from the show for indecent exposure).
