Thread deletion no tax hairdresser

Sorry to be thick but can we have a clearer answer why this was deleted?
It would be helpful if the reason was given ie swearing or offensive language .
As it is I thought most people were giving helpful advice setting aside the alleged stupidity of original poster allegedly not knowing she should be paying tax even if being paid in cash.thanks

Never saw the thread, but maybe the poster decided that some aspects were possibly outing, and tax avoidance, even accidentally, is going to be an issue?

ThatCoolGoose · 05/02/2025 17:47

Understand that but if the hairdresser that unaware for 3 years that not paying tax and only working for cash was legitimate then any answers should be helpful.
Not deleted by poster but for somebody breaking guidelines.
Hmrc are already on her case as she has recently received a letter asking for details.
Threads like this should be locked and only reopened if original poster requests this

Probably a troll.

Theunamedcat · 05/02/2025 17:49

Looked like a shouty troll tbh

vodkaredbullgirl · 05/02/2025 17:53

Shouting too much and probably a troll

ThatCoolGoose · 05/02/2025 18:03

Did not look a troll post but it would be helpful for us all if a more specific reason.

Breaking talk guidelines means troll.

ThatCoolGoose · 05/02/2025 18:18

Thanks for this clarification .
It would be helpful if that was explained on the locked thread rather than just deleted

I'm not sure Mumsnet exists to be "helpful" it exists as a business to make money for the owners and shareholders (assuming there are any).

Catza · 05/02/2025 18:36

This was quite obviously a troll post. And if it wasn't, it's hard to imagine anyone writing anything constructive.

Futurename · 05/02/2025 18:38

If MN just locked troll threads instead of deleting them, half the threads on here would be locked.
