To ask for help in finding the best cosmetic breast surgeon in the NW (post-cancer)?

Really hoping someone can help me as I have no idea where to start with this. I've had breast cancer and had an op last year to remove the cancer, which also meant that I went down on one side to approx a C cup from an F cup. So I am currently lopsided to say the least!

Operation went well and the cancer is all gone, but there are a few cosmetic issues that need sorting out, and of course an operation on the other side to even things up. Saw the surgeon today and he was basically saying that he thinks I'd be better seeing a plastic surgeon for this work as it's purely cosmetic now, and that he could refer me on to someone, but it would just be a surgeon in the same hospital.

I have no idea if this guy is any good, and to be honest I would rather see the best person available and get things as good as they can be rather than just seeing the nearest doctor out of convenience. This whole breast cancer thing has really knocked my confidence and it feels so important that I get back to looking normal, even if it's very different to how I looked before.

Can anyone help by either recommending really good plastic surgeons in the north-west (probably Manchester) or by giving me some pointers as to how to go about choosing one?

Thanks so much everyone

Thank you so much! Have you/someone you know been her patient?

Lynsey Highton at Spire in Manchester is amazing. I’m in a private group online of women who’ve had breast surgery and folk are always raving about how talented she is.

Hi Op, you do need to see what your NHS options are too, for instance both recommendations above do some NHS work.
Best wishes for your recovery

@NotTodayDear Yes she was my surgeon a few years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
