Hi!

Our DD with be 2 years 4 months when DC2 is born and I'd still like the option for her to be in the buggy if needs me (family days out if she gets tired, shopping centres etc).

Have a big boot (Kia Sportage) so size isn't an issue.

Don't like the ones where baby goes underneath, would like them side by side, able to have a carrycot or car seat attached for baby.

Thanks in advance!

out n about double nipper absolutely love ours , our toddler was 2 years 2 months when baby was born. We've used it loads goes over rough terrain too, we've even used it on the snow, we got the carry cot adapter and carry cot for it and it's been ideal!

Second out and about nipper double. Got mine second hand for £120 and will be selling it for the same shortly! Absolutely fantastic buggy.
We bought a bassinet insert thing for the one side for the newborn. Again second hand!

I think this is the newer version of what we had. What's great for mixed ages is you can have car seat on one end and buggy seat on another, you can lie baby flat facing you and daughter face outwards, they can face each other, you can have just one seat on it and the buggy board. So it's really versatile.

Out and about nipper was also great. Do not go for three wheels #bigregrets

DD has a Joie one in front of the other for 2 boys from age newborn and 20 months they can change places front and back. it's been good. Occasionally the toddler has grabbed things in shops cos he's further in front but it's not a big issue.

I found the Mountain buggy duet to be a good double. Used it on 3 of my children and can adapt to the different ages/needs

+1 for Out n about nipper. Maneuverable one handed with 2 children inside.

Bugaboo donkey - I'm in a similar situation and due soon with DS2. Found second hand one in really good condition on market place and can get loads of extras or spare parts still. Side by side, coverts to a single or double, can change seats from bassinet to toddler seat, good basket size etc. Worth looking at for sure. Meant to fit through most doorways and definitely does from what we've tried so far

Uppababy are releasing a new side by side double called the Minu Duo in spring. You'd need to check the "from birth" options but it looks quite like a city stroller and less chunky than the out n about. Might be worth having a look at their SM feeds to see what you think.

If you do go for the out n about, there's a really good FB buy / sell / chat group with loads of good tips on.

I was astounded when I bought a single buggy and couldn't manoeuvre it one handed! The out n about is a dream to push. Someone stopped me the other day to say I always look like I've got my shit together as they regularly see me pushing the 2 kids with one hand and a coffee in the other! (I absolutely don't btw, just need coffee)

I cannot praise my uppababy vista highly enough. Huge basket, easily converts to double (or even triple with the buggy board). Nice big wheels that can handle pretty much any terrain, comes with carrycot, toddler seat, bug nets and rain covers and the customer service is excellent- free servicing events where they will replace any parts for free, they even sent us a brand new chassis last year no questions asked.

+2 absolutely LOVE(D) mine.
...kinda intend on using it for this baby even though my three year old won't get in it, it's just handy for carrying the shopping 😂 it's so easy to push, fits through doors, best baby thing I bought.
