To ask for anyone's experience of having a rectocele and bowel prolapse repair at the same time as bladder repair.

Has anybody had all 3 done at once? I'm currently waiting for my operation and am worrying about it. I will be having the rectocele and bowel prolapse done as well as a repair to my bladder for incontinence. I have two young dc so I'm worrying about the recovery time and pain etc. just looking for some words of advice from anyone who has had the same done?

I had rectocele, cystocele, bladder repair and hysterectomy at the same time. There was some pain in the vaginal area, and cramping in the abdominal area and a shit ton of bruising-mostly inner thighs, but mostly I was just exhausted for about a week. I slept A LOT! How young are your kids, and have you got anyone around to help? You won't be able to lift heavy things, or drive for a while so you will need help

A family member had this done. Recovery was hard and her DP needed to take on childcare and household management for a few weeks. By 6 weeks she was better but she said it was a longer recovery time than expected
