Were they given their jobs back?

They were largely given the opportunity to return to work when the rules changed but most didn’t

I think some of them were offered their jobs back but not all took up the offer.

I would have thought most would have found different employment by the time the rules changed. Probably less stress and better pay too.

JockTamsonsBairns · 03/02/2025 20:20

Many of them will be working in supermarkets or hospitality, where they can earn a lot more.
We have reached crisis point in carer recruitment and retention, because nobody wants to pay commensurate with the role.

I forgot I started this thread! It’s so hard to remember but the way post Covid looked. It felt like you weren’t going to be able to go to a restaurant without being vaccinated. In my area you could have your vaccine cards laminated.

I know one worker offered a promotion in return for the jab but they stuck to their principles. They never lost their job.

There's still people on FB with the "I've had my Covid vaccine" profile picture frames 😂

I was called scaremongering and irresponsible on here when I mentioned my relative declined to have the Covid jab despite them being classed as high risk due to being auto immune. At the time, the advice was to discuss with the consultant as to whether to have the jab however they decided not to.

5 years later, my relative has never had Covid.
