Baby and weight loss. At my end worrying

My little boy was born 6 weeks premature and is now 10 months old, 8.5 months corrected.

He’s always had a negative interest with milk due to bad reflux and now it seems to be showing with his weaning too.. he just doesn’t seem interested ( although his reflux has subsided )

He’s always had slow weight gain, so on higher calorific milk from the dietitian - but because his remained on his same febrile, they’re not worried.

I’ve noticed his weight over the past week has fluctuated from 7.2kg to 7.31kg but it’s gone back to 7.29kg today. I’m fixated on his weight. He did have an ear infection last week, so took less milk & food.. he also had a bit of upset belly for 24 hours due to antibiotics.

He’s happy, healthy, cheeky, energetic..

He just wants to move, sitting him in a highchair is impossible. It’s like he has more output of energy than he will have input of calories.

Has anyone else had a similar story and all turned out ok?! My eldest was a full term foodie so I’m a bit lost.

If you're very worried then reach out to your GP for advice?
My daughter's weight plateaued for a long time when we moved onto solids, (she's not very food motivated, only eats when she's really hungry).
The timing can coincide with them being more mobile so they probably are using up a lot of calories.
My daughter also started nursery during winter at that time so lots of illnesses which obviously impacts too.
Personally I wouldn't be worried unless your baby's weight is actually dropping rather than remaining relatively steady. Considering its normal they might have a minor weight loss during a period of illness, it doesn't sound like he's actually losing weight, just fluctuating.
My daughter dropped from being a high percentile weight to below average & health visitor was not concerned at all. She was like your child, happy and healthy.
Sorry, to clarify, she didn't actually lose weight, just plateaued for so long that she went from high percentile to below average percentile on the charts over that period of time before she starting gaining weight slowly again but has remained below average weight so that's her new normal percentile I guess.

My son was like this as a baby. He is a lot older now and still on the slim side but I wished I hadn't worried as much when he was little.

He too had reflux and a milk allergy and I had to keep taking him to be weighed both with the health visitor and hospital. In hindsight I wish I had listened more to the one member of staff who basically said there was nothing wrong with him and all babies are different (and they didn't understand why I had to keep returning to monitor his weight).
