Is this GDPR breach

A complaint has been lodged with my employer about a comment I made on social media (not upheld!). This complaint has come from the head teacher at my son's school and he has identified himself as such (fine) but then goes on to identify me as a parent (which has no relevance to his complaint) am I right in thinking this is a breach of GDPR? It is no business of my employers where my son goes to school.

Yep you've hit the nail on the head. We are all entitled to our own opinions. If your happy for your child's HT to use information they are only privvy to and use it in a personal capacity to make false allegations about someone then that's fine. Personally, id rather they got on with the job they are being paid to do.

But an opinion isn't a false allegation.

He has shared his opinion of you. And found at least one other example of you making snide remarks on SM.

Not agreeing with his opinion doesn't make it an allegation. It remains an opinion.

He hasn't found "at least one other example of you making snide remarks on SM" as he has been unable to provide any evidence of this. The reason being - there is none. As I have said over and over, it was very out of character for me to post the comment that I did.

When school leaders spend more time fixating on their image rather than doing the actual hard work it takes to turn around a failing institution you know what you've got - a vanity Head - did he try to "fix" the school by introducing new school branding, with a shiny new uniform with heavy punishments for those who threaten to ruin the image of the school?
You can't stop people criticising if you are doing a shit job, of course, parents talk but shutting them up by improving standards is harder than threatening to silence them. I can't imagine that HT will ever manage to improve the school, if it's possible I'd move my kids.

Care to expand then? Because I've read all of your posts and there is no discernable breach of GDPR.

if your claim against the head been taken seriously and had grounds, then this head presumably would have had action taken against him, disciplined in some way.

Where did I say I haven't been contacted, where did I say they were still in post (they are btw) you are just "assuming" at this point & why would they not be in post. Who has ever indicated that they should lose there job over it?

The incident happened in late January I made my complaint 8 weeks later. During school holidays they have no obligation to respond. There has been a 2 week Easter break & the 5.5 weeks of summer almost another 2 months where its halted. I won't engage with you any further.

We are 25 pages in it's been discussed plenty what the potential data breach is. Suggest you go back and re read if you're interested.

you appear to have no support from any parent at the school whatsoever in fact you don’t seem to even have any of their contact details. You are entirely on your own in this complaint against the head it would seem despite some mutterings about it on FB

Identifying himself? No. Identifying himself and his relationship to you as HT and a parent at the only secondary school in your area? No.

People aren't hard of reading. You just keep saying "don't you think this is outrageous" and "well, would you be happy with"....which is all useless opinion and waffle. Where's the actual factual breach. Because it's been explained to you several times over what isn't a breach (ie everything you've mentioned so far)
