I have lots of products . I just don't know what to do with them without overloading my face in an attempt to look fresh.
Any advice please?
Any tricks welcome !

Are you near to a Selfridges? You can pay £60 for an hour long make up consultation, if you buy any products you can put the £60 towards them (so it's worth taking £60 of products away with you regardless). Book online, they'll do all your make up for you.

Failing that blend your foundation well and use some concealer under your eyes and highlighter to brighten you up a bit.

And drink plenty of water now!

In a pinch though just have a nap, then do your hair nicely and whack on some lipstick and nice perfume. I'm sure you're over-focusing on the negatives, to everyone else you probably look much fresher than you do in your head :-)

Enjoy yourself!

Take ages to really prep your skin first. Good cleanse. Exfoliate. Serum. Moisturiser. Pluck brows/ facial hair. Then makeup. If you have any add highlighter into corner of eyes and below eyebrow arch.
Get some whitening eye drops.
lots of iced water now.

Start by giving your face a really good scrub and moisturise. If you've got primer, use that and let it dry properly on the skin before you add foundation to the top.

If you're shit at makeup then less really is more. I'd recommend a nice shimmery eyeshadow on the lids, some mascara and a lightly tinted lip gloss as a start.

Check out Lisa Eldridge video's...I thinks she's brilliant and often uses older models/normal looking people.

And please for the love of God, do not apply foundation with your hands. Use a brush and if its too thick for your skin, add just a tiny bit of moisturiser to break it up.

primer!!!

(that's all I have to add but it always makes a big difference when I wear makeup)

What are your best highlighters ??
I have ambient hourglass and CT the Hollywood glowI think . Also got the Dior face base but I'm not sure if that's a primer or not

Less is generally more. Good moisturiser and primer. Light foundation (I prefer tinted moisturiser, it tends not to emphasise wrinkles the same). A decent concealer - carefully applied and blended. You could relax with chilled tea bags or bags of peas under your eyes for a bit first too. Great lippie, and smile!

If you have an Hourglass highlighter that’s awesome. Temples etc, where it catches the light.
