Winning the Lottery

I'm winning the double rollover tonight - got my ticket and feeling spectacularly lucky. Previous tickets I've hoped to win haven't come through, so I'm going into tonight with confidence and seeing if that makes a difference.

Planned out my winnings which covers the 5 mil ~ dream house purchase, enough to invest and draw on for a decent style of living for the rest of my life, helping family/friends clear their mortgages/debt. Buying a Birkin 😎

AIBU to ask what I'd be sending you with some of the rest? I have about £400,000 to play with, though want to spread it around a bit. Only overly indulgent gifts you'd never buy yourself but secretly really, really want are allowed.

There were 133 Lotto jackpot winners on Sat 14 Jan 95 - 16.2 million ish jackpot & all got 122k each.

16 Sept 95 8 jackpot winners shared 21 million getting about 2.6 each.

10 jackpot winners shared abt 9 million on 23 Sept getting approx 936k each.

18th Nov 1995 20 jackpot winners shared 8.5 million getting 425k each approx.

Jackpot won consistently 94-95 & shared by multiples.

Seems like I'm the only one who wants a Lamborghini! Black, with gull wing doors, like in The Cannonball Run film ❤️

Or a month off work unpaid 😀

I woke up to an email on Wednesday morning telling me I’d won. Was £6.80.
I saw a thread on here that said it’s different wording on the email if you’ve won a significant amount.
The standard one (I had) is titled ‘good news! You’ve won a prize’
and then, of course, it’s just a couple of quid.
You can get palpitations if you receive an email that says: ‘we have exciting news about your ticket…’
Apparently!

@RosaMoline I heard an email says something about a ‘higher tier’ win.

The first time I got an email it said "Important News About your ticket" and I logged in shaking so much I could hardly type or remember my password to find it was £2.40 or something!! They seemed to stop that nonsense quite quickly, it was ridiculous!
